Abdullah Matar Al Mannai, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, affirmed that Commemoration Day is an occasion to recall the values of loyalty and belonging, and to take pride in the noble sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs, whose pure blood has paved the path of glory and honour. Their sacrifices, he said, have proven that the United Arab Emirates is blessed with brave men who are ready to give their lives in defence of the homeland and in protection of its civilizational achievements. He pointed out that this eternal national occasion, which is marked every year on 30 November, gives the people of the UAE renewed momentum and strengthens their determination to continue along the paths of excellence and leadership.
He added that Commemoration Day is also an occasion on which the finest examples of unity and social cohesion are embodied, as the people of the UAE stand together in one rank behind their leadership, renewing their pledges of loyalty and obedience and affirming that their homeland will remain an impregnable fortress thanks to the sacrifices of its loyal sons. He explained that what the martyrs have inscribed in the fields of honour and duty has become a firmly established path and an integrated national vision from which generations draw lessons of steadfastness and determination, holding fast to an unyielding will that knows no impossible, so that the flag of the Union continues to fly high in all arenas and forums.
Al Mannai stressed that being faithful to the memory of the martyrs requires all of us to redouble our efforts and work harder to repay, even in part, the debt we owe to this generous homeland, and to ensure that their noble legacy remains alive in our hearts and a beacon lighting the path to a bright future for generations to come. He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon our heroic martyrs, to grant them the highest ranks among the righteous and the martyrs, and to preserve for the United Arab Emirates the blessings of security, safety and prosperity under a wise leadership that places the human being and his dignity above all else.
